2026 FIFA World Cup Draws in Full

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the 23rd edition of the tournament and will hold from June 11 to July 19 in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America, SportPremi reports.

The tournament will be the first to be hosted by three countries and it will be hosted by 16 cities across the three host nations.

It is the biggest edition so far and features 48 countries in a newly-expanded format that has 40 more matches than the last edition.

Seven former champions have already qualified, as well as four debutants, while the remaining rounds of qualifiers will take place next year – the intercontinental playoffs and the European playoff rounds.

In the intercontinental playoffs, Democratic Republic of Congo will face the winner of the tie between New Caledonia and Jamaica, while Iraq will face the winner of the tie between Bolivia and Suriname.

For the European playoffs, the winner of the clash between Italy and Northern Ireland will face the winner of the encounter between Wales and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Elsewhere, the winner of the Ukraine and Sweden clash faces Poland or Albania, while Turkey or Romania will face Slovakia or Kosovo.

Finally, the winner between Denmark and North Macedonia will face Czech Republic or the Republic of Ireland.

Mexico will face South Africa in the opening match, while other host nations Canada and United States face the winner of the UEFA play-off A and Paraguay respectively.

Defending champions Argentina will begin their title defense against Algeria in group J which also includes Austria and Jordan, while 2018 winners France will face Senegal, Norway and the winner of the FIFA playoff 2 round.

  • Group H: Spain, Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia, Uruguay
  • Group I: France, Senegal, Winner of Fifa play-off 2*, Norway
  • Group J: Argentina, Algeria, Austria, Jordan
  • Group K: Portugal, Winner of Fifa play-off 1*, Uzbekistan, Colombia
  • Group L:England, Croatia, Ghana, Panama.
