Since its inception in 1992, the English Premier League has developed into arguably the biggest European football league in the world thanks to its massive global audience and viewership.
Dutch coach Arne Slot led Liverpool to a record-equaling 20th league title last season, in his first season in charge, ranking him among the managers to have achieved the feat.
Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson has won more league titles than any other manager in the league’s history, but which other legendary managers also appear on the list?
SportPremi reveals the most successful managers in EPL history;
4. Jose Mourinho (Three EPL titles):

One standout name on this list is the ‘Special One’, who has lifted the EPL three times.
Jose Mourinho led Chelsea to a period of dominance under former Russian owner Roman Abrahimovich, winning multiple trophies including two back-to-back league titles in 2004/05 and 2005/06.
The Portuguese returned for a second stint at the club, where he won a third title in the 2014/15 season. He also had other stints with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, but failed to win a league title at either clubs.
3. Arsene Wenger (Three EPL titles):

The iconic Frenchman was perhaps unlucky he was in charge in a period where Manchester United were the force to reckon with in England.
However, he still managed to lead Arsenal to three league titles in his time in charge of the club.
Wenger was the manager in charge of the famous Invincibles squad, that won the 2003/04 league title unbeaten, a record no other team has broken.
2. Pep Guardiola (Six EPL titles):

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has etched his name in the history books as one of the greatest managers ever.
The Spaniard redefined dominance and has only failed to win the league three times since his arrival in 2016.
Guardiola led the Cityzens to four consecutive EPL titles between 2020 and 2024, and remains the only manager in history to achieve a four-peat haul of the English league title.
1. Sir Alex Ferguson (13 EPL titles):

Manchester United great Sir Alex Ferguson has won more than twice as many EPL titles as Pep Guardiola in second place.
He led the famous ‘Class of 92’ that transformed the Red Devils and won 13 league titles in his spell at the club.
It is no surprise that Manchester United have struggled to rediscover their former glory since his departure, enduring a long-wait for a league title.
