Sevilla manager Matías Almeyda has expressed confidence that forward Akor Adams will rediscover his scoring form despite his recent dip in performances, SportPremi reports.

The Super Eagles forward enjoyed a prolific spell at French side Montpellier, before leaving in January to join the Spanish side.
However, his time at the club has been disrupted with inconsistency amid several injury battles and fitness problems.
The 25-year-old has scored twice in the league this season, but is without a goal in his seven La Liga matches, having started the last four.
He has come under criticism for his poor displays and is set to miss the next few weeks for the club due to international commitments with Nigeria at the 2025 African Cup of Nations later this month.
Adams made his debut for the Super Eagles in October and is set to make the final squad for the AFCON tournament in Morocco.
The striker will be hoping to end his goal drought when Sevilla face Real Oviedo in league action on Sunday, as he hopes to head into the tournament in Morocco with full confidence.
Almeyda backs Adams to regain scoring touch
Sevilla manager Matias Almeyda has opted to start Akor Adams in the last four league matches, with the striker set to be unavailable for the next few weeks of action.
The Argentine is however confident in the Nigerian forward’s goalscoring prowess and has backed him to return to form.
“He is a footballer who works a lot and needs confidence. I prefer that he is trying to right his wrongs rather than standing still”, the Sevilla manager said.
On the club’s recent run
“It is a shame because we were so close to winning, but the performance we put in was positive. This is something we can take from the game.
“The commitment and concentration we showed, and the pressing were things we had worked on during the week, and today they did very well”, he added.
Akor Adams also acknowledged the need to improve his positioning, noting that it has led to him being caught offside 19 times in 12 matches.
“I know I fall a lot offside. I’m working to correct it and help the team more.”
Akor Adams set for AFCON spell with Nigeria
Sevilla forward Akor Adams is expected to make Eric Chelle’s final 28-man squad for the African Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco, having been named in Nigeria’s preliminary squad.
The 25-year-old scored on his debut for the national team and has netted twice from four appearances since October.
He will be eager to link up with superstar Victor Osimhen in attack at the tournament, which kicks off on the 21st of this month.
