The draws for the 2026 edition of the Women’s African Cup of Nations tournament was held earlier today at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, determining the matchups for the qualified teams, SportPremi reports.

Defending champions Nigeria, who lifted a record-extending 10th crown in the previous edition with a 3-2 win over host nation Morocco, have been paired alongside Zambia, who they beat on their way to the final.

Morocco who will host the tournament for a third consecutive edition will face North African rivals Algeria in Group A.
Former champions South Africa will face Ivory Coast in Group B.
The tournament will commence on the 17th of March and end on the 3rd of April, with an increase in the number of participating teams from 12 to 16.
The four semifinalists will automatically qualify for the 2026 FIFA Women’s World Cup, while the losing quarterfinalists will compete for the inter-continental playoffs.
