Former Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface is closing in on a transfer to 19-time Italian Serie A champions AC Milan.
Coming into the summer transfer window, Boniface’s future was hanging in the balance because he did not enjoy a lot of game time towards the end of last season under former Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso.
The Spanish tactician left for Real Madrid at the end of the season, and former Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag took over.

Unfortunately for Boniface, who is one of Nigeria’s most valuable footballers, he has fallen down the pecking order at the club, as he did not start any of Bayer Leverkusen’s pre-season games.
The 24-year-old Nigerian striker didn’t also start in Die Werkself’s DFB Pokal victory over Grossaspach last weekend. And even though coach Erik Ten Hag said that he was not fit to play, the argument did not make sense, as Boniface was on the bench.
Victor Boniface Nears Bayer Leverkusen Exit

According to fresh reports from Sempre Milan, Boniface has agreed on personal terms with AC Milan over a transfer this summer.
Now, they are in advanced negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen. It is believed that the Rossoneri want a loan transfer with a buy option inserted in the deal.
The transfer is expected to be completed in a few days, coach Massimiliano Allegri want him to join his team as soon as possible.
