English Premier League club Arsenal are set to beat North London neighbors to the signing of Ecuadorian defender Piero Hincapie.
Arsenal are fresh off hijacking Tottenham’s attempt to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.
The England international looked set for a transfer to Spurs last week, but the Gunners entered the mix and completed the transfer in less than 48 hours.

However, Arsenal are not done in the transfer market yet, and neither are their North London rivals.
Spurs have been linked to Hincapie in recent days, but news broke on Monday that Arsenal were set to put in a bid for the Ecuadorian star.
Bayer Leverkusen value their man at around €60 million, but the Gunners are looking to negotiate a lower price, as the player has expressed his willingness to leave.
Meanwhile, although Tottenham have their eyes on Hincapie, but they do not want to buy him outright this summer.
Tottenham Need To Sign Players
Although Tottenham have won their first two games of the season against Burnley and Manchested City, they still need to sign more players.
They will play UEFA Champions League football this season, so they need a big and quality squad.
Their two central defenders Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero are notorious for getting injured during the season. And if this happens, it will put them in a bad situation.
Attacking reinforcements are also needed at Tottenham Hotspur. If they can get in at least two or more quality players this summer, coach Thomas Frank could do really well this season.
