Akor Adams was on target as Sevilla claimed a much-needed 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid to boost their chances of survival this season.

The Nigerian forward grabbed his eight league goal of the season from the penalty spot earlier in the clash, before Javier Bonar equalized for the visitors.
Nemanja Gudelj put Sevilla back in front to seal a 2-1 win which saw them climb up to 15th on the standings and three points above the relegation zone.
Adams shines as Sevilla clinch much-needed win
Sevilla went into the clash on the back of three consecutive defeats in La Liga which had seen them drop into the relegation battle.
However, they produced a remarkable performance against a much-changed Atletico Madrid side who rested several players including Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, with one eye on their Champions League quarter-final second leg clash against Barcelona.
Adams opened the scoring in the 10th minute after a penalty was awarded for a foul on Isaac Romero as Sevilla started the game brightly.
However, Bonar headed in the equalizer in the 35th minute, before Gudelj gave the home side the lead back in first half stoppage time.
Sevilla struck the post in the second half and despite Atletico Madrid’s late fightback, they held on to claim a memorable win.
