The transfer window in the top five leagues has officially closed, and it was quite a busy one for all the clubs, especially the big boys.
Most of the spending occurred in the Premier League, which saw clubs spend a record €3.6 billion this summer. This amount exceeds the combined spending of clubs in the four other top leagues.
Arsenal, one of the Premier League title contenders, spent €293.5 million in the transfer window. They also sold some players, making around €10 million.

In this piece, we’ll go through Arsenal’s business in the 2025 summer transfer window.
Who Did Arsenal Sign In The 2025 Summer Transfer Window?
Martin Zubimendi
Arsenal’s biggest signing this summer was Martin Zubimendi, who they signed from Real Sociedad in a deal worth €70 million.
He was brought in to give Arsenal some solidity and fluidity in the middle of the park.
Eberechi Eze
The Gunners also brought in Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace, in what was a blockbuster transfer. Eze initially looked set to join Tottenham, but Arsenal hijacked the deal from their North London neighbours.
The deal cost Arsenal €69.3 million, and they will be hoping that the English international delivers for them.
Viktor Gyokeres
Arsenal’s third most-expensive signing was Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP.
Coming into the summer, it was clear that the Gunners would go all out to sign a proper marksman.
Although they delayed as they explored deals for the different available strikers in the market, they eventually got the transfer sorted in a deal worth €65.8 million.
The Swedish striker signed a five-year contract with Arsenal.
Noni Madueke
Arsenal bought Noni Madueke from London rivals Chelsea in a transfer worth €56 million.
The Englishman was brought in as a backup for Bukayo Saka and an option for the left wing.
Asides from these players, Arsenal signed Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia in a transfer worth €15 million. They also got Christian Norgaard from Brentford for €11.6 million.
Then, they signed Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea in a deal worth €5 million. Their last signing was Piero Hincapie, who they got from Bayer Leverkusen on loan. The deal will be made permanent by next season.
Which Players Left Arsenal?
Among the top clubs in England, Arsenal has built a reputation for being a poor seller. Their most expensive sale is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who they sold for €35 million in the 2017/18 season.
During the 2025 summer transfer window, their most expensive sale was Nuno Tavares, who they sold to Lazio for €5 million.
They also sold Marquinhos to Cruzeiro for €3 million, while Albert Sambi-Lokonga left for Hamburger in a transfer worth €300k.
Arsenal also got €2 million from a loan deal for Polish defender Jakub Kiwior, who left for Porto. Other players who went out on loan are Fabio Vieira to Hamburger, Oleksandr Zinchenko to Nottingham Forest, Reiss Nelson to Brentford, and Karl Hein to Werder Bremen.
Meanwhile, Thomas Partey, Kieran Tierney, and Jorginho all left following the expiration of their contract at the club.
Raheem Sterling and Neto were on loan at the club last season. But the former has now returned to his parent club, Chelsea, while the latter returned to Bournemouth at the end of the loan.
