Atalanta manager Ivan Juric has confirmed that Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman is close to being at a 100%.
The reigning African footballer of the year winner was locked in a transfer saga with the club over the summer, after handing in a transfer request.
The 27-year-old desired to leave the club with rivals Inter Milan interested, but La Dea failed to sanction a move after revealing that their valuation was not met.
Lookman missed the first few weeks of the season after refusing to train with the team, but has since returned to club activities.

The Super Eagles star has been one of the most consistent performers at the club over the past two years and was very influential in the 2024 Europa League-winning campaign, netting a remarkable treble in the 3-0 final win over Bayer Leverkusen.
He featured for Nigeria in their 2-1 win over Lesotho last week, playing over an hour, but missed the 4-0 win over Benin Republic due to suspension.
Atalanta host Lazio at the Gewiss Stadium later today, with both sides hoping to close the gap to league leaders Inter Milan.
Juric hopeful of Lookman’s involvement against Lazio
During his prematch press conference ahead of the crucial fixture against Lazio, Atalanta manager Ivan Juric revealed that Lookman, as well as other key members of the squad, are close to returning to full fitness.
“It will also be important to understand the conditions of Lookman and De Ketelaere after recent training sessions”, Juric revealed.
“In any case, I’m extremely confident in their full recovery.
“We need to become more clinical in front of goal, and I see improvements in that regard. Sulemana, too”, he added.
