German powerhouse Bayern Munich qualified to the third round of the 2025-26 DFB Pokal following a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Bundesliga rivals FC Koln.
Harry Kane continued his sensational start to the new campaign with a superb brace, while Luis Diaz and Michael Olise added further goals to complete the victory.
It was their 14th consecutive victory in all competition, setting a new record for the best-ever start to a league season by an European football club.
The Bavarians beat the previous record set by AC Milan in 1992-93, when the Italian side recorded 13 straight wins at the start of the season, while the likes of Real Madrid in 1961-62 and 1968-69, Tottenham Hotspur in 1960-61 and Borussia Dortmund in 2015-16 recorded 11 consecutive wins to begin their season.

Bayern Munich began the defense of their Bundesliga title with a home game against RB Leipzig.
What was supposed to be a tricky tie proved too easy for the Bavarians, as they sealed a comprehensive 6-0 win in the league opener.
Harry Kane scored a brilliant treble, while Michael Olise (2) and Luis Diaz (1), completed the scoring in the statement win.
Wehen Wiesbaden 2-3 Bayern Munich (2025-26 DFB-Pokal First round);
The Bundesliga champions traveled to lower division side Wehen Wiesbaden for the first round of their German Cup campaign.
They raced into a two-goal lead after goals by Harry Kane and Michael Olise, but the home side netted twice to draw level on terms.

However, Bayern avoided a shock result as Harry Kane netted in stoppage-time, sealing a 3-2 result.
Bayern Munich 3-1 Chelsea (2025-26 UCL opener);
Six-time UCL winners Bayern Munich welcomed two-time champions Chelsea to the Allianz Arena in their league phase opener for the 2025-26 season.
Harry Kane (2) and an own goal by Trevoh Chalobah set the tone for victory, while Chelsea scored their only goal through Cole Palmer.
FC Koln 1-4 Bayern Munich (DFB-Pokal Second round);
Bayern Munich made history on Wednesday night with a 4-1 triumph over FC Koln in the German cup second round.
The home side took a shock lead in the 31st minute through Ragnar Ache, before goals from Luis Diaz (1), Harry Kane (2) and Michael Olise (1)), sealed progression into the next round and completed their 14th straight victory to start the season.
