Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was thrilled with her performance after making her debut for Brighton and Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League on Sunday.

The 24-year-old joined the Seagulls in the summer after leaving Paris FC, where she was instrumental as they defeated PSG in the French Women’s Cup final last season.

Nnadozie’s impressive form continued into the Women’s African Cup of Nations, keeping four clean sheets as Nigeria claimed a record-extending title in Morocco.

The reigning African Women goalkeeper of the year made her debut in Brighton’s 2025/26 WSL opener against Aston Villa last Sunday, becoming the first African goalkeeper to achieve this feat in the league.

The Nigerian shot-stopper produced an assured display in goal, keeping a clean sheet and winning the player of the match award in a goalless draw against Aston Villa.

She made four saves and recorded 44 touches in a commanding display to begin her WSL career on a solid note.

Nnadozie will hope to continue her fine form on Friday night, when Brighton face a tough trip to Manchester City in their second league match of the season.
