Everton manager David Moyes was disappointed with the final result, after his side were held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham United on Monday night.

The Toffees were were hoping to bounce back from the disappointing midweek defeat to Wolves in the Carabao Cup third round, but were unable to build on their early lead as the tie ended in a stalemate.
Nuno Espirito Santo took charge of the Hammers just few days after his appointment, replacing Englishman Graham Potter who was dismissed after a poor start to the season.
However, it was the home side who gained momentum and took an early lead in the 18th minute when Micheal Keane headed in from a corner kick.
It was the eighth goal West Ham have conceded from corner kicks this season, highlighting the need for improvements in that area of their game.
Everton piled up pressure and wasted further chances to increase their lead in the match.
They were made to rue their missed chances as Hammers captain Jarrod Bowen grabbed an equalizer for his side in the 65th minute, with his strike deflecting past Jordan Pickford.
The game ended 1-1 with both sides sharing the spoils, as Nuno Espirito Santo began his tenure in charge with a positive result.
Everton will next be in action on Sunday with a clash against unbeaten Crystal Palace, while West Ham United travel to the Emirates to play Arsenal on Saturday.
Moyes disappointed with draw
Everton missed the chance to move into an European spot with the disappointing draw and remained in ninth position with eight points.
Speaking after the match, David Moyes acknowledged his players performances, but was visibly unhappy they couldn’t grab maximum points.
“Disappointed we didn’t take all three points. It’s a home game, an opportunity for us. We had moments where we should have pressed the button a bit more and got the second goal. We opened ourselves up for counter attacks”, the Everton manager admitted.
“The decision-making in the final third: can you make the right pass or cross to get the finish away? We didn’t get that right. We had a lot of the ball, we scored a good goal from a cross, but couldn’t find a way of making the second goal.”
