Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka has expressed delight after opening his account for Coventry City in their 3-2 win over Derby County on Friday night.

The Nigerian midfielder joined the Sky Blues during the winter transfer window on a season-long loan deal from Brentford and has been very impressive so far since his arrival at the club.
The 28-year-old broke the deadlock inside the first 15 minutes with a superb strike, firing home a curler from the edge of the box.

Onyeka reacts to maiden goal for Coventry City
Onyeka, who opened his account for Coventry City on Friday night, expressed satisfaction with the overall performance and expects the team to maintain their high level for the remainder of the campaign.
“It was a good performance from the team. The way we fought, even when we are 2-2, we came back, Jack Rudoni came on and scored two goals, which was really important. Now, we are happy for the victory”, Onyeka said.
“It was a special one, I saw the goalkeeper off the line, I had to chip it. It was a good goal. Happy, I got my first goal for Coventry, I am really excited about the goal,” he added, relishing his first strike for the club.
“I had to go forward instead of going backwards because I feel we had more men to play one-two and continue my run and score the goal.”
“It’s nice to get this time, to go away with Nigeria, which is a proud moment for me to represent my country but also traveling around is tiring but we will keep on going.
“We need to keep winning our games. We have won this game, we need to focus on Monday, against Hull, going away. It is not going to be easy but we just need to focus on winning that game,” Onyeka concluded.
Nigerian midfielder Onyeka will be hoping for another brilliant outing when Coventry face Hull City in their next match on Monday night.
