Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Michael Zetterer has stated that he is confident of coming out victorious when his side face Victor Osimhen’s Galatasaray in the UCL on Thursday.
The German side host the Turkish champions in a match-day one clash in this season’s UEFA Champions League at the Deutsche Bank Park.
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is expected to make his return from an injury he suffered while on international duty, to lead his side’s attack.
The 26-year-old was injured in the first half of Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Rwanda in a world cup qualifying match in the last international break and missed the Super Eagles’ draw at South Africa, after he was deemed unfit.
He also sat out of Galatasaray’s 2-0 win over Eyuspor last weekend, but is expected to lead the line on his return as the Turkish side search for a first European win of the campaign.

With Osimhen expected back on Thursday, Frankfurt’s defense will have to be at the top of their game to prevent the visitors from finding the back of the net.
Everything Michael Zetterer said ahead of the game
Speaking in a prematch conference ahead of the crucial encounter, the goalkeeper revealed he is unbothered about the prospects of facing Osimhen and will treat the match like a random league match.
“I have no more or less respect for him than for a striker in the Bundesliga or in the DFB Cup. Maybe the name is better known, but in respect, it doesn’t change that for me”, he revealed.
“We are not badly positioned. Our support is madness; we don’t need to hide. I’m curious if the Galatasaray players are afraid of our curve. I am not afraid to play in front of another corner.”
The goalkeeper also expressed excitement ahead of his UCL debut, after he joined the club during the last transfer window.
“My career was not the classic way from a youth footballer. There were a few dents in it. This makes me even more appreciative of the chance that I can play Champions League on Thursday.
“This is the biggest competition you can play as a player. I am happy to be able to gain my first experience there on Thursday.”
