The Nigerian forward has missed the Cottagers last two matches with a calf injury, but will now make his return to action against Spurs.

Chukwueze has enjoyed a decent debut campaign in the English Premier League, contributing three goals and four assists so far this season.

The 26-year-old joined the club from AC Milan on loan last summer, although the West London club purchase an option to make the deal permanent.

Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey are available and will be eyeing another inspiring display after their performances in last week 3-1 win over Sunderland.

Chukwueze returns from short injury layoff

Speaking during his prematch press conference ahead of the London derby against struggling Tottenham, Fulham head coach Marco Silva confirmed the return of the Nigerian star while providing the latest updates on the squad.

“Kevin is going to be the only player that will be out of contention for the game. Sasa [Lukic], [Samuel] Chukwueze… the others, they’ve been in and out and come back in contention”, Silva said.

“They’ve had a good week so far and we have another session before the game and we are going to take decisions. Chukwueze looks good, [Antonee] Robinson is back in the sessions with the team as well. Let’s see how they react and make a decision after the session tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, the Portuguese gave concerning news about the injury suffered by Brazilian forward Kevin, who is set for an extended spell on the sidelines.

“With Kevin, the feeling after was there, looks like it’s some serious thing and he’s going to be out. We’re waiting but probably going to have surgery next Monday and will be out for some weeks”, Silva concluded.

Chukwueze provided the assist for Kenny Tete’s opener in Fulham’s 2-1 win in the reverse fixture and will be eyeing another influential performance on his return to action at the Craven Cottage.
