The Super Eagles midfielder had rounded off scoring in last week’s 3-1 win at Sunderland and scored what proved to be the winner this time around in the London derby.

Harry Wilson had given the Cottagers an early lead, before Iwobi added a sublime second in the first half, while Richarlison grabbed a consolation for the away side.

Iwobi shines as Fulham claim another win

Fulham headed into the clash on the back of two consecutive wins across all competitions and had the chance to move back into the top half with a win.

Meanwhile, Tottenham were without a league win in 2026 and also hoped for a good result after last weekend’s crushing 4-1 defeat to Arsenal in the North London derby.

It took just seven minutes for the hosts to get ahead as Harry Wilson fired into the net, with the goal surviving a VAR review.

Spurs were very terrible and went down by two goals in the 34th minute as Iwobi played a quick interchange with Wilson, before firing into the net with the outside of his boot from 20 yards.

Calvin Bassey then wasted a big chance to add to the advantage as Fulham took a two-goal lead into the break.

Iwobi was very influential once again in the second half, playing a brilliant ball through to Emile Smith-Rowe, who was denied by Vicario.

Substitute Richarlison then halved the deficit for Tottenham, sending the game into a frantic finish.

However, Fulham held on and clinched another huge win to move up to ninth on the standings and closer to an European spot.

What next?

Fulham will hope to continue their good form when they struggling West Ham United on Wednesday, while Spurs are also in action against Crystal Palace on Thursday.
