Former Nigerian goalkeeper Joseph Dosu is confident that Afeez Aremu will shine in Scotland, following his transfer to Aberdeen earlier in the week, SportPremi reports.
Afeez, 26, completed a permanent deal to join Aberdeen this week after leaving German second division side Kaiserslautern and penned a two-and-a-half year deal at the Scottish club.
The Nigerian midfielder was unveiled as the club’s fifth arrival of the month on Thursday, following the signings of Lyall Cameron, Liam Morrison, Toyosi Olusanya and Per Kristian Bratveit.

The former Nigeria U-20 international could make his debut for the Dons later today when they face Kilmarnock in a Scottish league match.
Dosu backs Aremu to shine at Aberdeen
Former Nigerian goalkeeper Joseph Dosu, who played an influential role in the early parts of Afeez Aremu’s career, has expressed confidence that the 26-year-old will make strong impact in Scotland.
Speaking during an interview, he acknowledged the qualities of the midfielder and believes the move to Scotland will help his development.
“Aremu is a talented footballer and very strong on the ball. He reads the game well and he’s a disciplined player as well. In addition, he’s creative and can bring stability to the midfield”, Dosu stated.
“He is a player with good football intelligence and I’m sure he’ll succeed in Scotland. He can also shoot from distance, which is a strong asset, and he is very good with long passes, he’s an interesting player who can influence matches from midfield”, the former Super Eagles goalkeeper added.
“I’m happy for him. He’s a great and very hard-working player, and may the land of Scotland be a blessing for him. Congratulations to everyone.”
Aberdeen are currently seventh on the Scottish league table and will be eyeing a win in today’s encounter, as they continue their rise up the standings.
