Action resumed across Major European Leagues this past weekend following a brief October international break for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid all continued their winning streak, while Manchester United recorded a shock win over Liverpool at Anfield.

The weekend also delivered plenty of drama across the leagues, with the title battles intensifying.

A number of records were shattered over the weekend, with players achieving new career milestones. SportPremi takes a look at some of the standout records set in these matches;

Harry Kane Scores 400 Club goals

Bayern Munich edged Borussia Dortmund in Bundesliga action to tighten their grip at the summit of the standings.

However, it was England captain Harry Kane who stole headlines with the opener in that encounter, scoring his 400th career club goal – Bayern Munich (104), Tottenham Hotspur (280), Leyton Orient (5), Millwall (9), Leicester City (2).

It was Kane’s 21st goal for club and country this season, while he has also scored in nine consecutive games for club and country – the best scoring streak of his career.

Erling Haaland’s Scoring Streak

With his brace against Everton, giving his side a deserved 2-0 win, Erling Haaland has now scored in 11 consecutive matches for club and country.

It is the best scoring streak of his career, as the big Norwegian continues to shatter different goalscoring records.

Alex Iwobi’s 299th EPL game

Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi played all 90 minutes of Fulham’s 1-0 defeat to the table-topping Arsenal on Saturday.

It was his 299th appearance in the English Premier League, making him the Nigerian player with the most matches, beating Shola Ameobi’s record of 298 appearances.

Ange Postecoglou’s 39-days at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest’s poor run continued this past weekend with another embarrassing 3-0 defeat to Chelsea in front of their home fans.

Club owner Evangelos Marinakis wasted no time in showing his ruthlessness, firing manager Ange Postecoglou few minutes after the defeat.

The Australian spent just 39 days at the club, becoming the permanent manager with the shortest-ever spell in EPL history.

Amorim’s First back-to-back Wins

At the 35th time of asking, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim delivered consecutive league wins for the first time since his arrival at the club last November.

Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire scored for the Red Devils as they recorded a shock 2-1 win over Liverpool, who got on the scoresheet through Cody Gakpo.

Juventus winless streak

Juventus suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat at the in-form Como on Sunday in the Italian Serie A.

It marked their sixth consecutive game without a win, which is their longest streak since May 2024.
