Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca has hinted that English striker Liam Delap is close to returning to action, SportPremi reports.

Delap joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town in the summer transfer window in a deal worth €35.5 million. And he had a fine start to life at the club, playing an important role in their Club World Cup success.
Unfortunately for the 22-year-old striker, he suffered a hamstring injury last month, in Chelsea’s Premier League game against Fulham. Since then, he has been on the sidelines, recovering.

However, he is very close to returning to action, if Maresca’s comments are anything to go by.
“Liam is not working with us yet. He is still out. Hopefully in the next days he can take part in sessions with us,” Maresca said in the pre-match press conference for their Champions League game against Ajax.
When Will Liam Delap Return To Action?
Although Enzo Maresca has hinted that Liam Delap is close to returning to action, it will likely be after the international break, which is about a month away.

Chelsea’s attack has not been free-flowing in the past month, due to their injury problems. But his return would give then a much-needed boost in the final third.
