Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was full of praise for Viktor Gyökeres following his side’s 2–0 win over Burnley in the Premier League.
The Swedish striker scored the opener and delivered a complete performance before being substituted due to a minor injury, SportPremi reports.

Speaking after the match, Arteta said Gyökeres’ display was one of his best in an Arsenal shirt.
“I think it was one of the best matches he’s played. His performance was exceptional,” Arteta said. “Everything was great — his high pressing, his positioning, his touches, his threat from behind, the way he linked play, the way he got us out of tight situations and into transition moments.”

Arteta also provided an update on the forward’s fitness after he was replaced in the second half.
“In the first half it was one of the best he’s played with us,” he said. “He felt something muscular, so we have to wait to learn the extent of that.”
The Arsenal boss hinted the substitution was precautionary, with further assessment expected before their Champions League trip to Slavia Prague.
