Paul Onuachu was the star of the show as Trabzonspor secured an emphatic 3-0 win over Samsunspor in the Turkish Super League on Saturday, SportPremi reports.

The Nigerian forward scored twice, but was denied another two goals in the clash in a very dominant performance for his side.
The 31-year-old moved up to 15 league goals for the season, surpassing Istanbul Basaksehir’s Eldor Shomurodov who has 14.

Samsunspor headed into the clash hoping to close in on an European spot, while Trabzonspor were hoping to reduce the deficit to league leaders Galatasaray.
Trabzonspor started the game brightly and were only denied the opener by a brilliant double save by goalkeeper Okan Kocuk.
Onuachu struck in the 23rd minute, heading home after a superb delivery from Ernest Muci, giving his side a 1-0 lead in the encounter.
The Super Eagles forward had a second later in the half, but the goal was ruled our for offside against him in the buildup.
Onuachu was proving to be a menace and scored once again in the second half. For a second time in the clash, he had a goal ruled out this time for a foul in the buildup.
He was not to be denied in the 81st minute as he finally doubled Trabzonspor’s advantage with a clinical finish inside the box.
Muci rounded up scoring in stoppage-time from the penalty spot after a handball in the box by Samsunspor as Trabzonspor finished the match with a three-goal win.
The victory moves them to just four points behind Galatasaray in first place and just one behind second-placed Fenerbahce, although the top-two teams have a game in hand.
