Several European clubs are preparing moves to lure Nigerian forward Paul Onuachu away from Trabzonspor when the summer transfer window opens.

Onuachu, 32, has enjoyed an outstanding season with the Turkish club and is now attracting interests from several top clubs across the major European leagues.
The Super Eagles striker only returned to Trabzonspor last summer in a permanent deal, after previously spending the 2023-24 season on loan at the club from English side Southampton.
The former Genk striker has taken the league by surprise this season and is currently in pole position to claim the prestigious golden boot award at the end of the season.
Onuachu has scored 23 goals across all competitions this season, with 21 of them coming in the Turkish Super League and is five ahead of second-placed Eldor Shomurodov, while compatriot and last season’s winner Victor Osimhen has scored 12 times in the league.
The 31-year-old has also scored in eight of his last nine league games, only failing to score in Trabzonspor’s 1-0 win over Eyupspor in their last outing.
Onuachu attracting interest from several top European clubs
Onuachu’s impressive form this season has not gone unnoticed by scouts across Europe and the striker is now attracting interest from many clubs across Europe.
Clubs from the German Bundesliga, including Bayer Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim have all registered their interest and are exploring a possible move in the summer.

Meanwhile, Onuachu is also subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League as Al-Ahli are hoping to be able to convince him to join them in the summer transfer window.
However, Trabzonspor are not considering a sale at the moment and are happy to keep hold of their prized asset.
The Turkish club are hoping to return to Europe and challenge Galatasaray and Fenerbahce for the league title next season and are unwilling to sell Onuachu.
It would likely take either a softened stance from the club or the arrival of an irresistible offer for them to consider a sale, potentially paving the way for the Super Eagles star’s departure.
