German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have submitted an official offer to Atalanta for Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman.
It is just over 30 hours until the end of the 2025 summer transfer market, and clubs are actively processing deals to fortify their teams for the long season.
Bayern Munich are one of the clubs that need to get in players as soon as possible due to their lean squad size.
The Bavarians were in talks with Chelsea for the signing of Senegal international. The deal was even almost done until the Blues called it off late on after an injury to Liam Delap.
Now, Bayern Munich have identified a new target. According to British transfer expert David Ornstein, the reigning Bundesliga kings have sent in a bid to Atalanta for Lookman.
Bayern Munich do not have the finances to pursue an outright buy, so they have offered Atalanta a loan deal with an option to buy clause at the end of the campaign.
Atalanta To Play Hardball With Ademola Lookman
Although Bayern Munich seem willing to get the Ademola Lookman deal sorted as soon as possible, Atalanta will play hardball.
They have demanded that any club that wants Lookman must pay their €50 million fee outright, and that isn’t what Bayern Munich want at the moment.
The Super Eagles star has had a tough summer, and he will be hoping that the deal is sorted before the transfer window closes on Monday.
