Fulham winger Samuel Chukwueze was pleased with his own performance in the loss to Manchester City but believes the team could have done more to secure a win, SportPremi reports.

Despite losing 5-4 to Manchester City in the English Premier League on Tuesday night, the Nigerian midfielder was the star of the show after his two-goal performance in the clash.
Chukwueze bagged his first goals in English football and continued his impressive start to life at the Cottagers since his summer move from AC Milan.
The Super Eagles star earned the player of the match award in his last appearance for the club, providing one assist and almost getting on the scoresheet himself in a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.
He started Tuesday’s clash on the bench and almost inspired a comeback for his side who were 5-1 down at some point in the match.
The on-loan AC Milan winger now has two goals and three assists so far this season, despite making just one start for the club.
However, he was not the only Nigerian to shine in the Cottagers defeat to the former Premier League champions.
Playmaker Alex Iwobi also found the back of the net in the clash, marking both players’ importance to the team.
Chukwueze hails impressive showing
While speaking to the press after his two-goal showing against Manchester City, Samuel Chukwueze expressed what it meant to open his account for the club.
“For me, it’s a good feeling to score two goals but not a good feeling to lose. If I had scored my two goals and we won, it would have meant a lot to me – but for now, it doesn’t mean a lot.”
The forward also spoke about the team’s performance in the defeat.
“It was a crazy game today. We conceded goals we shouldn’t have conceded, but I liked the spirit of the team for the comeback”, the Super Eagles winger revealed.
“The chances we created in the second half were almost there. It was a difficult one to take because we wanted three wins in a row and it didn’t happen, but we’ll keep our heads up.
We fought until the last minute and on Sunday (against Crystal Palace) we’re going to give everything for the fans”, he continued.
“For me, I always believe. If we don’t believe, we won’t score. Everybody believed that we could come back – the team, the coach and the fans.
“The fans were amazing – supportive from 5-1 to 5-4. We gave everything and I think we need to lift our heads up and say we fought well. We have to move on.”
Fulham return to action on Sunday, when they welcome Crystal Palace to the Craven Cottage, hoping to return to winning ways.
