The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced Eric Chelle’s 31-man provisional squad for the Super Eagles’ crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa in September.
It is make or mar for Nigeria next month in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, as they look to stage a football miracle.
The Super Eagles are fourth in Group C of the qualifiers, six points behind group leaders South Africa, with four games left.
So they are condemned to win all their remaining fixtures and hope that the results of the other games will go their way.
Ahead of the next round of qualifying fixtures next month, coach Chelle has named 31 players in his provisional squad.
The usual Super Eagles suspects like Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Ola Aina, Wilfred Ndidi, and captain William Troost-Ekong made the cut.
But there are also some new names on the list. 15-year-old goalkeeper Ebenezer Harcourt has had a big year with the Flying Eagles and the CHAN Eagles. Now, he has been named in the provisional squad.
Players like Sevilla striker Akor Adams, OGC Nice star Terem Moffi, and Christantus Uche are on also on the team.
