Stanley Nwabali has stated that he isn’t worried about not having a club yet and is confident he will make the right move when the time is right.

The Super Eagles first-choice shot-stopper has been without a club since leaving South African outfit Chippa United during the winter transfer window.
Nwabali left the club after four years in search of a new challenge elsewhere, but has been unable to find a new club since then, despite speculations linking him with a move to Kaizer Chiefs.
The 29-year-old has not played any competitive match since featuring in the bronze medal match at the 2025 African Cup of Nations tournament, saving two penalties as Nigeria defeated Egypt in the matchup.

He is expected to headline Eric Chelle’s squad for the four-nation tournament which has now been scheduled to host in Turkey rather than Jordan due to the ongoing Middle East conflict.
Nwabali opens up on future
Nwabali joined Chippa United in 2022 from Nigerian Professional Football League side Katsina United, before leaving in January.
Despite interests from several clubs including the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Simba, the 29-year-old is yet to decide on his next move.
“I’m not worried, yeah. I’m not worried… So, I don’t really have, like, you know, a particular place or a particular country I want to play for, you see? So, anywhere that welcomes me well, I can play. So, that’s it”, Nwabali admitted.
“So, it’s rumours everywhere. Anyone talking about any club, rumour… When people wish you well and they want you to do something or they prefer you, you know.
“It’s not like it’s a bad idea, you know. Someone bringing up the rumours or some other thing. But it’s not a bad idea, you know.
“Seeing, you know, when someone is relevant and when they know this person’s quality and some other thing, you take them to some other place. It’s not like it’s a bad thought. But, you know, it’s a rumour”, the Nigerian shot-stopper added.
“Rumours are always being rumours, you know. So, yeah. So, when you see me signing (for) any club, then you will know from the day I’m going or probably the day I’m wearing the club’s shirt, yeah.”
