Awoniyi backs Forest for survival
Taiwo Awoniyi, who has scored twice for Nottingham Forest in an injury disrupted campaign, including in the 3-0 thrashing of Tottenham in their last outing, has vowed that the players will do their best to ensure that they continue playing in the Premier League next season.
“I think these last seven games will be vital for the club. It’s not just about me; it’s about the entire squad—everyone understands our position and what is required of us,” Awoniyi said.
“A relegation battle is something you never want to experience. When you consider the business side of the game, many people could lose their jobs, and the fans will be devastated. My only focus is doing whatever I can to make people happy; I will give my absolute best”, he concluded.
Nottingham Forest will return to action on Sunday, when they face Aston Villa in a crucial clash as they continue their fight for survival.
