Former Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou is being considered for the managerial job at Nottingham Forest in case they sack Nuno Espirito Santo.
City Ground seems to be on fire at the moment, as coach Nuno openly admitted that his relationship with the club owner, Evangelos Marinakis, had deteriorated this summer.
“Our relationship has changed… it’s not good.”

“I don’t know exactly, but I’m being honest with you. I cannot say that is the same, because it’s not the same. The reason behind it, I don’t know.

“…The reason behind it, I don’t know. The reality is that it is not what it used to be. What it used to be was a good, respectful relationship, but was more based on trust and sharing opinions, and now it’s not so good.”

Nuno’s comments are believed to be because of Nottingham Forest’s moves in the transfer market. He feels uninvolved in the club’s transfer moves.
Their current squad is boisterous, as despite the exit of important players like Anthony Elanga, Danilo, the club has brought in Douglas Luiz, Arnaud Kalimuendo, Omarion Hutchinson, James McAtee, Ben Ndoye, Igor Jesus, and Cunha.
Due to the number of signings the club has made, some old players might need to leave to create space. However, the Nottingham Forest hierarchy has not done anything about it yet.
Following Nuno’s comments, there have been reports that there is now tension at Nottingham Forest, and the Portuguese tactician might even get sacked despite his shiny record at the club.
Postecoglou Touted As Potential Nuno Replacement
As the matter with Nuno Espirito Santo drags on, and there is a possibility of him leaving the club, speculations have started about his possible replacement.
Coach Ange Postecoglou with the Europa League trophy at Tottenham
According to Transfer News Live, Ange Postecoglou is the most likely option for Nottingham Forest if Nuno is sacked.
🚨 Manchester United registered their interest in signing Andrey Santos in talks with Chelsea over Alejandro Garnacho.
The Australian tactician was just sacked at Tottenham at the end of last season after a dismal campaign that saw them finish 17th in the Premier League, albeit they won the Europa League to save face.
Postecoglou is a stubborn character, and was often criticized for his style of play at Tottenham, which saw his team concede a truckload of goals.
He has a pretty decent CV, though, having coached the Australian national team and Celtic to success during his stints there.
Nonetheless, Forest fans will hope the situation between Nuno and the club doesn’t get too bad to make both parties part ways.
