Tolu Arokodare has admitted that he joined Wolves on his own will and his decision to join the club was not influenced by anyone.
The Nigerian striker, who scored the winner for in the 1-0 win over Rwanda in a World Cup qualifying match last week, joined the English side on transfer deadline day from Belgian side Genk.
The 24-year-old was a star performer for the club last season, but saw his role reduced to four substitute appearances this season, with the club willing to let him leave.
He netted 17 times in the league last season to claim the Belgian golden boot award, while he was also the recipient of the Ebony award, given to the best African player in the Belgian league.
With the transfer deadline approaching, Wolves agreed a deal with Genk which allowed the Super Eagles star to swap sides and complete a dream move.
Arokodare signed a four-year deal at the Molineux, which includes the option of an additional year, while Wolves paid a total fee of £23.4 million for his signature.
He made his debut against Newcastle United last Saturday and although he was not very impressive as he received limited services from the midfield, the Nigerian international is hoping to reach greater feats at the club.

“When Wolverhampton became concrete, I didn’t hesitate for a second. No one had to convince me. Everyone also knew I absolutely wanted to go to the Premier League”, he revealed in an interview.”
There might have been other rumours [AC Milan and Napoli], but in my head, I only wanted one thing.
The Wolverhampton shirt already fits me like a glove. [Wolves are known for] using their strikers well. I’ll benefit from that”, the Nigerian added.
Arokodare hopes to shine at Wolves
The Nigerian international is a huge figure at 6 ft 6, making him a big threat to defenders.
He is a predator in the box and has displayed impressive goalscoring abilities for club and country in previous matches.
Despite having a less than impressive debut, coming off for Jhon Arias in the second half, Arokodare should adapt quickly to the demands of the league.
The 24-year-old possesses the physicality to thrive and can link up properly with his teammates to create goalscoring chances.
Up next for Arokodare and Wolves is a home match against newly-promoted Leed United next Saturday, as he hopes to open his account in the EPL.
