Victor Osimhen continued his impressive form, scoring again just days after his brace and Man of the Match performance against Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League.

The Nigerian striker found the net as Galatasaray defeated Göztepe 3–1 in their Super League clash at Rams Park.
Göztepe opened the scoring early through Efkan Bekiroğlu in the 6th minute, but Osimhen equalised for Galatasaray in the 19th minute.
He seized on a defensive mistake, controlled the ball well, and calmly finished from the left side of the box. Although the goal was initially ruled offside, VAR confirmed it after review.
Galatasaray Take Control
After the early setback, Galatasaray took control of the match. The hosts dominated possession and created more chances, while Göztepe struggled after being reduced to ten players when Bokele received a second yellow card in the 42nd minute.

Gabriel Sara gave Galatasaray the lead in the 63rd minute with a composed finish after a setup from Yunus Akgün. Three minutes later, Mauro Icardi added a third, reacting quickly to a rebound from Osimhen’s header that was saved by the goalkeeper.
Victor Osimhen’s Impact
Osimhen played 86 minutes and led the attack with purpose. His link-up play, movement, and strength caused constant problems for Göztepe’s defence. He completed 84 percent of his passes, created four chances, won six duels, and helped defensively with clearances and recoveries.
Osimhen Matches Galatasaray Record
The goal was Victor Osimhen’s 43rd for Galatasaray in 50 appearances. This remarkable achievement puts him level with two Galatasaray greats, Okan Buruk and Umut Bulut, in the club’s all-time scoring chart.

Buruk, now the team’s manager, scored 43 goals across 306 appearances, while Bulut reached the same figure in 173 matches. Osimhen’s record shows his incredible efficiency and influence in just over a year with the Turkish giants.
The win strengthens Galatasaray’s lead at the top of the Turkish Super League table with 28 points after ten matches. Göztepe remains on 16 points following the loss.
Victor Osimhen’s consistency has been a driving force behind Galatasaray’s dominance this season, as he continues to score key goals across domestic and European competitions.
What’s Next
Galatasaray will next host Trabzonspor in the league, aiming to extend their winning run and maintain top spot. Göztepe, meanwhile, will return home to face Gençlerbirliği as they look to bounce back from this defeat.
