Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen continued his sensational form for Turkish giants Galatasaray with yet another record-breaking performance in their 3-1 UEFA Champions League victory over Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt on Wednesday.
The former Napoli forward sealed a permanent move to Galatasaray in the summer after an impressive loan spell last season and made yet another history on Wednesday.
With his brace on the night, Osimhen became the first player in the club’s history to score in seven consecutive European fixtures, surpassing Burak Yilmaz’s previous record of six set between 2012 and 2013.
It was his third goal in just two Champions League appearances this season, with his incredible scoring run stretching back to last season’s Europa League campaign.
SportPremi takes a look at the seven European matches in which the Super Eagles forward has found the net;
Galatasaray 3-2 Tottenham Hotspur (November 2024):
Osimhen opened his European account for Galatasaray in their 3-2 win over eventual winners Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Europa League last season.
The Nigerian striker scored his side second and third of the game in a feisty clash, as they came away with maximum points.
AZ Alkmaar 1-1 Galatasaray (November 2024):
The Super Eagles star backed up his two-goal heroics against Spurs with another goal for Galatasaray in their 1-1 draw at Dutch side AZ Alkmaar on match-day five.
The home side took an early lead in the clash, before Osimhen grabbed a deserved equalizer for the visitors two minutes before the interval.
Galatasaray 3-3 Dynamo Kyiv (January 2025):
Osimhen missed the draw against Malmo on match-day six with a muscle injury, but returned with a goal in his side’s 3-3 draw against Dynamo Kyiv.
The 26-year-old scored a penalty in the 53rd minute, as his side recorded a third consecutive draw in the Europa League.
Ajax Amsterdam 2-1 Galatasaray (January 2025):
Galatasaray suffered their first European defeat of the season in their final match of the league phase, going down to Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam.
Osimhen scored in stoppage time, but his side could not mount a late comeback as they were defeated 2-1 in the clash.
Galatasaray 2-2 AZ Alkmaar (February 2025):
Galatasaray had finished outside of the top eight in the league phase and needed to overcome AZ Alkmaar to reach the round of 16 of the Europa League.
Victor Osimhen missed the 4-1 defeat in the first leg due to suspension and his goal could not help his side overturn the deficit as they bowed out of the competition.
Galatasaray 1-0 Liverpool (September 2025):
Victor Osimhen missed the Turkish champions 5-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt with an injury, but returned for his UCL debut against Liverpool on match-day two.
The 26-year-old scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, equaling Burak Yilmaz’s record and winning the player of the match award for an impressive display.
Galatasaray 3-1 Bodo/Glimt (October 2025):
Record-breaker Victor Osimhen stole the spotlight once again, netting a brilliant brace and playing a part in the third as Galatasaray cruised to a 3-1 win over Bodo/Glimt.
He opened the scoring with a clinical finish early in the game and was gifted a second by a defensive howler, setting a new record as the first Galatasaray player to score in seven consecutive European games.
The Super Eagles star eyes will be set on extending the streak, when Galatasaray next play against Ajax Amsterdam on the 5th of November.
