The Cottagers welcome the league leaders to the Craven Cottage on Saturday evening, in another installment of the London derby for the 2025/26 EPL season.

Chukwueze, 26, featured in Nigeria’s 4-0 win over Benin Republic last Tuesday in a 2026 World Cup qualifying match.

The former AC Milan winger dazzled in the first half and provided two assists, but did not return for the second 45 minutes after appearing to have suffered from a slight injury.

The forward joined Fulham on transfer deadline day from Italian side AC Milan and has been eased slowly into the side.

He came on as a substitute in their 3-1 defeat against Bournemouth, providing the assist for Ryan Sessegnon to open the scoring, although the Cherries scored three times to grab the victory

Chukwueze doubtful for Arsenal’s clash

Chukwueze has only featured in 33 minutes of Premier League football since his arrival at the Craven Cottage in the summer.

The 26-year-old was impressive in his short cameo against Bournemouth before the international break and could have gotten the nod to start against Arsenal this weekend.

However, Marco Silva confirmed he is a doubt for the tough clash, alongside some other key players.

“It’s the reality for us. We cannot change it. It’s up to us, our medical staff and our rehabilitation group to get them ready as quickly as they can because we need them”, Marco Silva said.

“If you have all your players available, you’re going to be stronger. If you don’t have key players – not just one or two – you’re not at the same level. But it’s not going to be an excuse for us. We have to move on, and we have to go.

“Of course, we cannot hide. When we’re talking about a player like Robinson, for example, you know the impact that he’s had in the last two or three seasons in all aspects of the game,” the ex-Everton manager concluded.
