Australian coach Ange Postecoglou was sacked in astounding fashion, following Nottingham Forest’s 3-0 loss to Chelsea on Saturday, SportPremi reports.

Recall that the former Tottenham boss took over at the helms of affairs at Nottingham Forest last month, after they parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo.

Unfortunately for them, the results did not go their way, as the Tricky Trees failed to win any of the eight games under Postecoglou. They only managed two draws and six losses.

It all came to a head on Saturday after a 3-0 loss at the City Ground. Nottingham Forest’s owner Evangelos Marinakis was seen at the stands watching his team against Chelsea. But he left the game after the Blues scored their second goal.

How Nottingham Forest Sacked Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou’s sack was confirmed barely an hour after Nottingham Forest’s game against Chelsea ended.

Now, in a related development, the details surrounding Postecoglou’s sack have been revealed.

According to The Touchline, Postecoglou was informed of his dismissal just ten minutes after the final whistle against Chelsea. He could not even do the post-match press conference.

The 60-year-old tactician just said his goodbyes to his players in the minutes to followed, and drove off alone.

Postecoglou, did not even see Marinakis after the game, as he left the game way earlier, as it appeared he was fed up with what he saw.
