At half-time, Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane could see what was happening. After all, midfield is a position he knows very well, being one of the best in the world during his prime.
former Man United captain and pundit Roy Keane told Sky Sports at half-time:
“The decision-making and the football intelligence, in particular from Fred – and I have said this for a long time – Fred and McTominay are not good enough. They won’t get Man United back competing at the top.
“We see it week in, week out. They are not up to it. They had to gamble in the second half and Eriksen is probably in his best position when he drops back and he’s picking up people, but too little too late.”
