Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has admitted uncertainty about his side’s performances, despite leading the team.

The Portuguese has failed to instill his tactics on the team, with his side suffering from poor displays and inconsistencies since he began his tenure.
The Red Devils have not won consecutive league games since he joined the club and only claimed back-to-back home wins for the first time with last weekend’s 2-1 triumph over Chelsea.
Last season, he led the side to a 15th-placed finish in the English Premier League, their worst-ever league finish in 51 years, while they were also defeated 1-0 by Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.
This season, Amorim has seen his side defeated by Arsenal and Manchester City in the league, while they suffered a shock second round exit in the Carabao Cup to League Two side Grimsby Town.
However, wins over Burnley and Chelsea have offered fans a glimmer of hope, as they look to bounce back from a disappointing start to the season.
Manchester United visit Brentford in this weekend’s Premier League early kickoff match on Saturday, seeking another victory to record their first back-to-back league wins since May 2024.
Amorim gives verdict on Man United’s style
Speaking ahead of the trip to Brentford, Amorim admitted that results have been unfavorable to his side, despite playing better than they did in the previous campaign.
“To be completely honest, I have an idea, but I don’t know how it’s going to be and I’m the manager of the team”, the Portuguese revealed.
“That has to do with the moment that we live for so many months. The best way of dealing with that is that every game is the last one. It’s just not thinking about two games.
“Yes, it’s a big deal for Manchester United. The next game is going to be the most important game for a long time for Manchester United”, Amorim continued.
“I understand the feeling of the fans. Let’s start changing that feeling and present ourselves with that urgency that we need to do on the pitch.”
