The Super Eagles have departed Cairo for Fez, Morocco, where they will play their group-stage matches at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, SportPremi reports.

Nigeria were previously camped in Cairo, Egypt, where they faced the Pharaohs in a warmup friendly match on Tuesday.

The match was initially slated for the 14th, but was shifted two days back due to FIFA’s deadline for club to release participating players.

Egypt secured a 2-1 win in that clash, leaving Nigerian head coach Eric Chelle with a lot to ponder ahead of the tournament opener next week.

All 28 players arrived in camp and joined the traveling contingent to Morocco, where the three-time champions will face Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda in group C.

Morocco and Comoros kickoff the competition on the 21st, while the Super Eagles face Tanzania two days later.
