The Manchester United forward started in place of Igor Thiago, who had started in the 1-1 draw against Morocco in their opening game, and backed that with two well taken goals.

Vinicius Junior added a third in a dominant first half, which Brazil will be sweating on the fitness of star player Raphinha, who was taken off with an injury.

Dominant Brazil thrash Haiti

The five-time world champions were expected to dominate the clash and they started off on the front foot, with Raphinha finding the back of the net although his strike was ruled out for offside.

The Barcelona forward then missed another good attempt although his blushes were spared by the offside flag. However, Brazil would go on to take the lead soon after as Cunha was in the right place at the right time to find the net from a rebound.

It soon became two as Cunha was found by Vinicius and he fired in with his left foot to double his and Brazil’s advantage.

The Selecao were handed a major blow as Raphinha pulled off with an apparent hamstring injury and was replaced by Rayan.

Vinicius then scored his second of the tournament in first half stoppage time to make their lead 3-0 heading into the break.

Alisson was called into action early on, before Gabriel Martinelli struck the goalpost after coming on. Endrick, who had also come on earlier for his debut scored another, but the offside flag had gone up and it was ruled out once again.

Brazil sealed a 3-0 win to move top of their group ahead of Morocco, who edged Scotland 1-0 in the other clash.
