Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka will miss six weeks from the pitch following knee surgery on Monday.
Chukwuemeka of Chelsea suffered this injury during the team’s 3-1 loss to West Ham, a match in which he scored Chelsea’s only goal.

As a high-profile £20 million summer acquisition from Aston Villa, he was a key starter in Chelsea’s initial two Premier League fixtures of the season.

The Blues have officially confirmed that Chukwuemeka has undergone surgery and is now set to embark on his rehabilitation journey. The club’s medical team will closely support him at their state-of-the-art Cobham training facility.
