Injury Update: Super Eagles vice-captain William Troost Ekong suffers ankle injury ahead of Nigeria vs Ghana World Cup Qualifiers clash which is scheduled to begin on 25th of March in Ghana then second leg in Nigeria on 29th of March.

Watford Manager Roy Hodgson confirmed in a press conference that Super Eagles Vice-Captain William Troost Ekong and Senegalese forward Ismaila Sarr suffered muscle strains.
William Troost Ekong picked up an ankle injury in the game against Manchester United last weekend.
It is a muscle strain, the same with William Troost-Ekong, It’s going to keep William Troost Ekong and Ismaila Sarr out of the equation for the foreseeable future, but I don’t know how long exactly.

It’s going to be a huge blow for The Super Eagles of Nigeria if Troost Ekong doesn’t recover on time.
William Troost Ekong paired well with Kenneth Omeruo during the 2021 Afcon, and both party seem to understand each other.
How ever if William Troost Ekong won’t be available before the Super Eagles camp opens on 21st of March, the Gaffer Augustine Eguavoen will have to look at the stand by list by selecting a replacement of either Chidozie Awaziem or Jamilu Collins.
