According to reports, Man United are considering a move for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

United are considering a swoop deal for former England international and Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy as the gaffer Erik ten Hag attempts to bolster his attack, according to Athletics.

Manchester United has continued from where they left off last season, losing 2-1 at home to Brighton on their first game of the season and following that up with a shocking and embarrassing 4-0 thrashing against Brentford on Saturday.

With the awful start to the season, there are doubts if Ronaldo might remain at the club before September’s transfer deadline, whilst Rashford has been linked with a move to France giant PSG.

Should Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford depart, that would leave United with Anthony Martial as the club’s only attacking option.

Manchester United are scouting the market for a new forward, and according to The Athletic, Leicester City star Jamie Vardy is on their shortlist. Man United are considering a swoop deal for the 36-year-old, whose contract expires next summer.

However, Leicester coach Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that early talks have taken place over a new deal for former England international Vardy at the King Power Stadium.

Jamie Vardy has scored a whopping 164 goals and 64 assists in 387 appearances.

Should Manchester United fail to sign Vardy, United have alternatives on their shortlist. Former Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata has emerged as an option for United, with Atletico Madrid keen on selling the Spaniard.
