FIFA clears Ademola Lookman to represent the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

FIFA finally approves the nationality switch of former England U19 and U21 forward Ademola Lookman who is currently on loan with Leicester City.

Ademola Lookman came through the ranks with England from the Under 19 and Under 21 levels, in 2017 he won the Under 20s.

The forward applied for the switch of allegiance in 2021, he was originally on the 40-man list for Afcon 2021 but was unfortunately left out because he was yet to be cleared by FIFA.

This means the Leicester City forward will be able to represent Super Eagles in their next fixtures against Ghana home and away, Super Eagles will be playing away from home on the 24th of March against Ghana then at home on the 29th of March.

D’tigress of Nigeria lost 90-76 to China in their opening match.

It wasn’t the start the African Champions would have wished for at the FIBA Women’s World Cup, losing their first opening game to China who won 90-76.

Nigeria was however without some of their key players, the likes of Ezinne Kalu were not present because she was injured.

The D’tigress did well in the 4th quarter by winning 24-11 points but wasn’t enough.

D’tigress will battle it out with France next on February 11th by 6 pm.
