Super Falcons: FIFA ranks Nigeria 10th best team in the 2023 World Cup

The Super Falcons of Nigeria has been ranked by FIFA as the highest-ranked team from Africa in the World Cup tournament.

Morocco are ranked 12th, reigning African champion South Africa are 16th, and Zambia are 25th.

Teams were ranked based on their performance at the 202 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

National teams that were eliminated at the same stage are ranked based on the way they were knocked out.

The Super Falcons Of Nigeria, according to the list, are ranked in 10th place.

Nigeria performed above expectations as they played four games and were undefeated on all four games, they also shocked co-hosts in group stage.

The nine-time African champions were however eliminated in the Round of 16, losing 4-2 on penalties to the Three Lionesses of England.
