For footballers, reaching significant milestones for their clubs represent a very exceptional achievement in their career. However, reaching 100 goals in a record time is a rare feat that only few can boast of.
Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane made history on Friday night, reaching a century of goals for the German club in a record number of matches. Several familiar faces appear among those that have achieved the feat in record number of matches and SportPremi takes a look at the top five in this article.
5. Zlatan Ibrahimovic ( PSG, 124 matches):

Now retired, Sweden legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic is widely remembered for his stunning 30-yard bicycle kick goal against England in 2021.
However, it is worth noting that Ibrahimovic reached the 100-goal mark in 124 matches for French club PSG. The striker enjoyed a hugely successful spell at the club, including scoring a remarkable 50 goals in 51 appearances in his final season at the club and winning the league title in all four of his years at the club.
4. Luis Suarez (Barcelona, 120 matches):

Narrowly edging Ibrahimovic to fourth-place on this list is former Barcelona striker Luis Suarez. The former Uruguay forward achieved this remarkable numbers in just 129 games at the Spanish club.
Suarez formed a lethal partnership with Lionel Messi and Neymar in 2015 as the trio shattered records and led the club to a historic second treble-winning campaign.
3. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid, 105 matches):

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner and Lionel Messi’s eternal rival Cristiano Ronaldo is no surprise on this list given his remarkable goalscoring abilities. The Portugal captain reached 100 goals in 105 matches for Real Madrid after his then- world record £80 million move from Manchester United.
It is also worth noting that after Ronaldo left Real Madrid for Juventus, he still managed to reach the landmark in 131 matches despite his age.
2. Erling Haaland (Manchester City, 105 matches):

Norwegian goal machine Erling Haaland equaled Ronaldo’s record in September 2024, netting in his side’s 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the English Premier League. He is one of the most lethal and prolific goalscorer in football currently and recently became the fastest footballer to reach 50 UCL goals, achieving the feat in 49 matches.
He also became the fourth player to reach 100 goals under Pep Guardiola, after Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling.
1. Harry Kane (Bayern Munich, 104 matches):

The man of the moment, England forward Harry Kane broke the record as the record as the fastest player to reach 100 European goals when he netted a brace un Bayern Munich’s 4-0 win over Werder Bremen last Friday. He scored a penalty in the first half, before adding another goal in the second half to etch his name into the record books.
The feat is particularly impressive, considering Kane joined Bayern just two summers ago in a big-money move from Tottenham Hotspur.
