The newly promoted Premier League side have made an opening bid for Nigerian and Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis.

Forest has spent in excess of £85million on new signings this summer, but they are still looking to add more to their ranks before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Forest manager Steve Cooper is interested in signing Emmanuel Dennis after watching him perform last season.
As a result, Nottingham Forest has tabled a £ 20 million opening bid for the striker.

However, a number of clubs, including Brighton and West Ham, have shown interest in the 24-year-old Nigerian striker.

Watford owner Gino Pozzo had been determined to land the right transfer fee for the player, and Nottingham Forest looked set to meet the club’s valuation of Dennis.

Club Brugge will receive a five percent sell-on fee, but Watford still stands to make a massive profit on a player they bought for just £ 3 million.

Forest has so far made 12 signings to prepare for the road ahead in the Premier League, as they lost 2-0 in their opening game against Newcastle.

Forest Manager Cooper likes the fact the former Club Brugge forward can play left and right wing, as well as through the middle as a mobile striker.
Dennis scored 10 goals and made 6 assists in 33 Premier League appearances last season.

Although Emmanuel Dennis has four years left on his contract, Nottingham Forest are confident they can land the skillful front-man.

Emmanuel Dennis will also be looking forward to linking up with his fellow countryman Taiwo Awoniyi, who joined Nottingham Forest from Union Berlin.
