The former Napoli forward has become a fan favourite since joining Cimbom initially on a loan deal in 2024, before making the move permanent last summer. The €75 million fee paid by Galatasaray for the Super Eagles forward remains the most expensive fee in the history of the Turkish Super Lig.

He has since attracted interest from several top European clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, which has cast doubts over his long-term future at Galatasaray.

The likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid and Barcelona have all shown their interest in signing the Nigerian superstar as they all seek to add a new centre-forward ahead of the coming season.

Osimhen has scored 20 goals across all competitions this season, taking his tally to 57 in two seasons for the Turkish champions and could even win the second Super Lig title of his career this weekend when they visit Samsunspor.

Victor Osimhen reveals what Galatasaray means to him

Osimhen has become very popular amongst the supporters at Galatasaray and his latest comments will only draw him closer to the club’s supporters.

“God has put me on that path to prepare me for the greatness I’m in right now”, the Super Eagles forward said.

“It’s what shaped me into the kind of man I am today, and I’ve enjoyed so much in my career so far.

“But I think I’ve found a home here where I am comfortable, as are my family and a few close friends. This club—I’m trying to find the right word to justify it—is family. It’s love, unity, and utmost respect, not just for the player but for everyone associated with them”, Osimhen concluded.

Osimhen’s comments will come as a major blow for potential suitors who had been hoping to convince the forward to change clubs in the summer and will now have to make a change of plans to explore other alternatives.

For now, the 27-year-old’s love story with Galatasaray is set to enter it’s third season.
